Top botanical artist Marianna Kneller and Hampshire-based painter
Gina Dearden are to lead a drawing workshop at Exbury Gardens
this month.
Woodland Wonders and Floral Delights, gathering inspiration
from the award-winning Gardens on the banks of the Beaulieu River
in Hampshire, is for those artists who would like to bolster
their existing skills with new drawing techniques.
The workshop, run in conjunction with ArtSway, the contemporary
visual arts venue at Sway, is part of the countrywide Big Draw
campaign, designed to get the nation pulling out its pencils
and drawing.
“What better place could there be than Exbury for a workshop
of this sort,” said Marianna, Exbury's artist in residence.
“ArtSway
have come up with this extremely good idea and we are very much
looking forward to welcoming New Forest artists to Exbury for
a day of drawing.”
The
workshop, on Saturday October 16 between 11am-5pm, costs £10.
Materials will be provided.
The following day, Sunday 17 October
the Gardens will host a open free drop-in drawing session for
children, run by artist Kate Groombridge.
Both workshops are a collaboration between ArtSway and Exbury
Gardens.
For more information, and to book a place on the adult workshop
(places limited to twenty) please telephone Exbury Gardens on
