Hythe Strikers Football Club run a Junior Soccer School every Saturday morning from 9.30am at the Waterside Sports and Social Club in Holbury.

Qualified Football Association coaches teach soccer skills to kids from the age of 5 to 9 years old.

Simply turn up and play and enjoy learning new footballing skills on a weekly bases.

There is a small charge for the mornings training of £1.50, this covers the cost of hiring the hall and paying the coaches etc.

Our under 8's team who have just won the Eastleigh and district Mini Soccer league without loosing a game all season, and our under 15's who have won all of their league games since October last year.

Although the name is Hythe Strikers Youth Football Club we have been based at the Waterside Sports & Social Club for the past 3 seasons and also use Hardley and Manor infants school pitches.

We have 17 youth teams, including 4 girls teams, and we have over 240 members many of whom come from the Holbury and Blackfield area.

We are the only club in the area to have been awarded the prestigious FA "Charter Standard Award" which is a sort of kit mark for youth football clubs.

Only a handful of clubs in the Southampton area have achieved this, it ensures that coaches are qualified, CRB checked, and that the club is being run along football association guidelines.

For further information please contact the secretary Peter Clark on Southampton (023) 8089 3047
