This year marks the eleventh Waterside Arts Summer Festival.
In putting together this year's programme the ten volunteers forming the organising committee have tried to ring the changes without losing the events which you have shown are well appreciated.
One innovation this year is the introduction of a new open air event at Gang Warily.
We are currently awaiting the result of a fund application to the Arts Council, which, if granted, will see another innovative and exciting event.
As this cannot be confirmed until the Arts Council make the grant it is not shown in the programme but will be well publicised if the grant is confirmed. Watch this space!
We welcome the continuing patronage of Mrs Mary Fagan, Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, and the support which is freely given by relatives and friends of the organisers.
Last, but by no means least, this Festival could not happen without the support of our sponsors:
Hampshire County Council.
The three local Parish Councils.
Dibden Allotments Charity.
A private sponsor and local businesses.
They have provided three quarters of the cost of the Festival, the remainder coming from ticket sales.
The volunteers:
Martin Cox,
Maureen McLean,
Graham Parkes,
Ron Pirn,
Ann Purdy,
Jill Robins,
Mike Robinson,
Judy Saxby,
Brenda Smith,
Ray Varney.
