Gang Warily Recreation Centre Cafe "Champs" opened its doors on Friday morning (24th September 2004) to hold this year's Macmillan Cancer Relief Charity event - "The World's Greatest Coffee Morning" which was being held at venues all over the country.

Solent Rescue, an independent lifeboat station based at Lepe Country Park has recently been given a donation of £1,600 to purchase a set of new dry suits courtesy of Esso and ExxonMobil Chemical at Fawley.

Sunday, was a glorious day, not only for the weather, but for the hundreds of people who visited Calshot Spit and enjoyed the Open Day organised by the Calshot Life Boat Station.

Festival of youth (11th September 2004) to be held at New Forest District Council grounds at Appletree Court.

Young people are being urged to get their skates on if they want to take part in the New Forest 's first ever festival for teenagers.

Hampshire County Council held their Annual Civic Service at Winchester Cathedral on Sunday 13th June 2004, to celebrate and acknowledge the significant role that volunteers play within the Hampshire County Community.

Recently, Fawley Infants School held their sports day, with the children running races, overcoming obstacles and showing their skill in distance throwing of bean bags. (Video available with this story)

New Forest East Sea Scouts raise £112.00 for the Piam Brown Children's Cancer fund.

The New Forest East Sea Scouts held their St Georges’ Sunday Church service in aid of The Piam Brown Children's Cancer fund, which is a children’s ward at Southampton General Hospital. They raised £112.00.

Fawley and District Voluntary Care Group Needs New Drivers

The Fawley and District Voluntary Care Group are currently looking for volunteer drivers who can give up a few hours a week to help local residents in the Fawley and Hythe area who are in need of transport.
